Government Naveen College, Kui-Kukdur

Govt. Naveen College, Kui-Kukdur took its first step in the month of June 2018 at one of the rooms of Govt. Higher Secondary School, Kukdur Dist. Kabirdham with Arts, Science and Commerce faculties. Thereafter in 2025, the college was shifted to the Girls' and Boys' Pre-Metric Hostel of Tribal Welfare Department and is still continuing its academic and extra-curricular activities at the same place.

The college is located in the most remote area of Kabirdham District which is the land of Baiga Community who are known as Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG). Catering higher education to the socio-economically challenged community at present the college offers 05 Post Graduate programmes in Chemistry, Sociology, Political Science, Hindi and Geography and 03 Under Graduate programmes in Arts, Science and Commerce faculties.

The college has 335 students out of which 189 are girls. 66% of the total students belong to the tribal community. The college is striving hard to impart quality education to these students by utilizing the available resources in an optimum way. Various innovative drive leading to communicative skills, body language, personality development of the students have been undertaken to bring the students from the margin to the centre and inculcate in them the much needed confidence to face the highly technological and skilled world.

With the vision, "To lead higher education towards inclusive excellence through institutional transformation in general and to empower the socio-economically challenged students of the region in particular" the college offers safe, friendly, accessible environment where all the students and community members may optimize their academic, career and cultural development. The college continues to advance as a dynamic centre for life-long learning.

The college has adopted many best practices including FEP (Faculty Enrichment Programme) which is organized on every Friday where the faculty members of different subjects conduct a session on their subjects. Faculty Development Programme (FDP) is organized on regular basis to update, upgrade and uplift the faculty members to cope up with the highly technological world. SDP (Students Development Programme) is organized for the benefit of the students by inviting experts from different fields to update the students and motivate them for better career and bright future.

The college has signed 07 MoUs with different colleges to utilize the human potential for the betterment of the students. "Saraswati Muktakash Manch" offers an open air platform for the students to interact with the faculty members on various issues related to academics and career advancement under the shades of the trees leading to the old "Gurukul" parampara.

The college inculcates values and ethics among the students by imparting in them the "Bhartiya Jnana Parampara". "Jnana Path" leads the students and the stakeholders to understand the very essence of Bhartiya Jnana Parampara.

The college provides various facilities to the students like Filtered drinking water, Carom area, News Paper, Badminton Court, Computer lab, Yog & Vyayamshala, Saraswati Muktakash Manch, Jnana Path, Conference Room, Departmental Council, Clean Girls' Common Room, First Aid Box, Beautiful Garden with chairs.
