The Government Naveen College, Kui-Kukdur, located in the remote forest region of Kabirdham district, is not only spreading the light of higher education but is also continuously undertaking innovative initiatives for the benefit of students and staff.
Started in June 2018, the college caters to the needs and demands of the Kui-Kukdur region which is highly dominated by the tribals and especially the Baigas who are recognized as a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG). The college is working hard to build confident, capable, empowered, and aware young citizens of a developed India by familiarizing students with modern technology.
The college offers Undergraduate Programmes in three faculties namely Arts, Science (Bio Group) and Commerce whereas Postgraduate Programmes in Arts (M.A. Geography, Hindi, Political Science and Sociology) and Science (M.Sc. Chemistry) only.
The college has started many innovative activities to involve to students to evolve them into a multitalented student. Student support services play a vital role in shaping the students and cultivating in them the required skills and talents.
The college supports academic development, career awareness, cultural growth, discipline, and social responsibility. It provides a safe, friendly, and student-focused learning environment where students can develop confidence, knowledge, and practical life skills.
Along with classroom learning, the institution encourages participation in co-curricular, cultural, sports, and community-oriented activities for the overall development of students. The college has an active NSS unit, functional Red Cross Unit, Rangers and Rovers with a beautiful garden having many trees and plants.
The “Saraswati Muktakash Manch” is a platform for the students to instil in them the “Bhartiya Jnana Parampara” under the shades of the trees like the ‘Gurukul’. The college has created “Jnana Path” where students can understand the wisdom of ancient India and can practice it through experiential, participative and community-based learning.
